RAFTS is the multimedia artist Rory Pilgrim’s Turner Prize-nominated community-based project realised in collaboration with eight Londoners from all walks of life. Featuring songs, poems, stories and animation, it deals with the psychological turmoil caused by the recent global crises in an imaginative and soothing way. Using a form of expression most natural to them, each of the participants describes their own raft—a thing that keeps them afloat in the eye of the storm that is the overlap of the climate crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
